Segamat SEP/Family Camp

It's been a long while since I blogged, but I thought these were nice pictures from the Segamat SEP/Family Camp last weekend. It was definitely a load of fun for everyone who went, even me although I was there for only half the camp.

I got there just in time for the Family Night. It was dress up time so I got some shots of the kids in all their newspaper glory.

This is Heng all wrapped up!

And Huei getting dressed...

Kah Ping preparing Ching Ching and Ying Ying. So cute!!!

Papa showing of his work of art on Joshua.

Ma teaching Matthew how to wield a sword. Heh...

Some of the contestants during the photoshoot.  Hee hee.

The next day, we had Flying Fox and canoeing near the Felcra area.

Papa and one of Aunty Mary's tution kids. I think this is Chi Chun.

Pa and Ma having a good time canoeing in teh-tarik water...

Elaine and I giving our arm muscles a good work out. My shoulders and back ached like mad the next day.

4 Sook and Huei!

All the kids loved the flying fox! For most it was their first time, so even though it was a rather short one I think they had a good time.

Here's 4 Sum before take off!

Heng and Joshua getting ready. They're so cute!

Ma and Debbie before they're take-off!

Huei and I!

Me trying to fly. It didn't work.

They played rounders in the evening so here's one shot of them having a good time out in the open field.

This is right after Huei took a swing at the ball. She was the only girl camper this year (Debbie's half camper  half staff so she doesn't really count la. Heh.)

Ching Ching, Jessie and Ying Ying!

Who had a good time at camp?

Can't wait for next year's camp! Excited!

More Philippines pictures

Alright, Tian, here you go...

Remeber the yummylicious avocado think I was talking about? Ok, so this may not look like the most appealing drink in the world, but its super good! Really!

Their version of ice-kacang, perhaps? I had this at Chow King with Tian and Ma

We flew!

Going to Philippines last week was a blast!

This is Tian getting out of the Piper Warrior after we waited for over an hour for him and his instructor to pick us up at Cebu.

It was really interesting when we took off in that tiny plane. I've never rode in such a small plane before, and I guess when we hit the air pockets or whatever (as Tian would say, when it got "gusty" -except that it was gusty the whole time, eh?) then it got a bit scary. A bit like a tiny drop on a roller coaster. Very exciting for a non-pilot person like me!

Anyway, here are some pics of Cebu island as we flew over it. Man, that's one long island...

Ma and I in the backseat of the plane!

Anyway, there was nothing much to see/do at Dumaguete except hang out with Tian (that was the main reason anyway). But we did get to enjoy the sunset and sunrise by the beach! The sunset was really quite nice even though it was behind us, but we missed the sunrise and it was rather cloudy anyway.

We did a bit of touring (more like window shopping) at Cebu City on Saturday before coming back, but it was raining and I guess we were just so tired so we hung out most of the time at the airport that day.

OH!

My new all time favorite drink is avocado shake! It's smooth, with just the right amount of sweetness and really refreshing! And it's a pretty substantial drink, too! *smacks lips

Anyway, will upload more pics when the time is right (patience, Tian...).

Mabuhay!
